Training the Medical Scientists of Tomorrow - Staging Page

TrackAF’s overarching goal is to integrate multi-scale analyses, mechanistic and data-driven computer models into interdisciplinary approaches to enhance the long-term prediction, diagnosis and management of atrial fibrillation (AF) and atrial cardiomyopathy (ACM) and their consequences. Our goal is to ultimately improve patient outcomes through innovative methods and personalised prevention and treatment strategies.

PhD projects Apply by April 12

Enhance AF prediction and risk stratification

Develop new methods for predicting AF risk, progression and associated complications using deep phenotyping and novel biomarkers outperforming the current state of the art.

Work Package 1

Refine AF diagnostic techniques

Create and deploy interoperable, multimodal stratification methods and sex-specific models for better diagnosis and tailored treatment of AF across the entire lifespan.

Work Package 2

Improve AF management and treatment outcomes

Create mechanistic and data-driven decision-support models to optimise treatment, including personalised pulsed field ablation, cardiac autonomic modulation and prediction models for AF pro-/regression factoring in the effects of lifestyle.

Work Package 3
